Delinquente, Screaming Betty 2024

Con-Greg Grigorious's idea for the Delinquente Wine Co. was to take advantage of South Australia's Riverland region's small vineyards planted with Southern Italian varieties. With vines suited to the region’s dry Mediterranean climate, his aim is to make wine that is pure, drinkable and delicious - or as he would put it, “smashable”. Good on ya. Screaming Betty is made from 100% Vermentino. By using young vines and keeping the juice on the fine lees for 6 weeks, it is a thirst quenching, acid-driven wine with notes of grapefruit, lemon and lime. A great textural expression of Vermentino and one which is perfect for summer drinking.
